The School in brief...
Established for over 100 years, and on its current site since 1958, Dowerin District High School is a well maintained and equipped school that caters for approximately 130 students from Kindergarten to Year 10.
The enthusiastic and capable staff at Dowerin District High School make admirable use of excellent resources and strong community links to deliver an engaging and varied curriculum. The flexibility of a being a District High School has resulted in several specialist teachers being available to deliver curriculum to our primary school aged children. This includes Science, the Humanities (History and Geography) and Physical Education.
Becoming an Independent Public School in 2013 resulted in increased autonomy and allowed greater flexibility to tailor physical, financial and human resources for the benefit of our students.
The school priorities of Success for All Students, Excellence in Teaching and Leadership and Developing and Strengthening Partnerships are articulated in our 2019-2021 Business Plan.
